"Definitely one of the best places to relax in Aber, food is fabulous. When a friend and I worked in the pub opposite the staff would let us take full meals over and eat at the bar. Try the Blue Creek Club and anything from the dessert menu. Fab." - Lou [Feb 2008]
"My favourite place to go in Aber. Unpretentious and perfectly fresh food served by smiley (and it has to be said, easy on the eye) waitresses. Generous servings which are excellent presented. Very arrives very quickly too. Took my London-native girlfriend (a total foodie) here, and this is now her favourite place to eat. Mains, salads, teas, coffees, smoothies and especially the cakes are all to die for. I have no idea why it doesn't stay open later though - I'm sure they'd make a killing in the evening, perhaps altering the menu after 6pm and serving wine too? But you can't have everything. Definitely worth a visit - good veggie options too." - Anon [Jan 2008]
"Wonderful cafe. Really relaxed atmosphere, one of the best in town by far. Nicely hidden away!" - Vicky Barton [Nov 2007]
"A nice atmosphere - and the food is good. I can recommend the fresh home-made soups, the coffees, cakes, salads. Try one of the fruit smoothies. I like to rest there with my notebook, sometimes read a paper, book or magazine. Annette Strauch gives 5 points to the Blue Creek! The price is right, too." - Annette Strauch, Machynlleth and Germany [Oct 2007]
"Great place to eat but hard to get a seat." - Jude [May 2006]
"Love spending wet autumn/winter Saturday afternoons in the basement with banana cake and a hot chocolate. Service has improved greatly, everything is prepared freshly so you'll have to wait sometimes. Menus are updated regularly offering a variety of dishes. Also have a good choice of Welsh-language newspapers/magazines. Gwych!" - Dafydd Davies [Oct 2006]
"Great menu and service although the wraps can be a bit difficult to eat without making a mess!" - George [Oct 2006]
