The restuarant looks absolutely amazing, brings something fresh and modern to the town. Not only the place but also atmosphere, the food and its modern presentation takes it to another level, whether you eat traditional curries or you want to experiment with something new, you will find all of that in Light of Asia. What's unusual for Indian restaurants, Light of Asia has a party room upstairs, if you want to bring big group of people, celebrate birthdays etc. The staff and service is really friendly and helpful. As regular customers, we also have to notice that the place upgrades and developes its service and facilities all the time, complimentary poppadoms and chutneys with take aways do not suprise us anymore. This is an ultimate Indian experiment and in my opinion this is the best Indian restaurant in Aberystwyth!

We love this restaurant. If you're looking for a good curry house you won't get a better one than this in Aberystwyth - it's the best! It's such a funky looking place since it's had a face lift and the food just keeps on getting better. Can be a little on the slow side when busy, but can be understood when you sample the quality and standard of the food. Try the new specials. :)

Looks good from outside after recent refurbishment. Quick service for drinks order but food service incredible slow – took over 1 hour for the starts to appear and had to chase main course as this took another hour to appear – free wine (Spanish crap) given for delay in food order and told firstly that food order would have been quicker if we had order a set menu and then later told they had had a lot of ‘take-a-way’ order to deal with first (sorry but sitting customers take preference over ‘take-a-way’ orders)...!
When food order finally came the rice was cold and had to be sent back, otherwise the food was good if over priced for the amount. Service 2/10 – Food 7/10

Wow, this restaurant looks the business! If I didn't know better I would think I was down Cardiff Bay. Food is really good, plenty of it and so very reasonably priced. Owner is a nice guy, great welcome and will always go out of his way to customise the menu to exactly what you want. What a great achievement on your refurb, for a young family guy-well done!

Recently refurbished, it has now joined the rest of us in the new millennium! Simple, classy decor (with fab subtle overhead-light colour changes) and very comfortable seats add to the pleasure I always feel when I visit. The new-ish additions (to include wonderful fish dishes) to the excellent menu also adds to the experience. The food is now served in a more eye-catching, mouth-watering way (e.g. rice comes in a 'tower' on the plate instead of spooned haphazardly into a serving dish) on classic-style crockery. The food is fabulous, portions are generous without being off-puttingly too big, service remains friendly and fast. The customer is important to the folk who own the eatery, and my friend Sandra and I are always warmly greeted and never rushed to make room for others. This continues to be the best Indian restaurant in town and long may it continue to offer the town excellent food at reasonable prices.
