Little Italy

Little Italy

Long-established and cosy little Italian restaurant.

In operation for many a year, this is Aberystwyth's version of an Italian restaurant. A large, but traditional, menu caters for most tastes.

Great food really generous portions and such a romantic place with charming decore and lovely staff but once the place gets busy you have to wait ages before they will give you the bill i waited 20 mins and asked twice for it before asking a second waiter who then told the waitress to get us the bill other then that great service and brilliant food i will be going there again and again i suspect.

Not a lot to comment on. Went there last night, stood by the bar for 10-15 minutes and saw absolutely no one so we went somewhere else. I would have thought that there would be a bell either on the bar or the door to alert staff that someone had come in. If not for customer service then just for security. Very strange. :-(

Love it! Go every year for mine and my partners anniversary and never disappointed. It can get quite busy but they always make time to see how everybody is and if they are enjoying their meals. Price is very reasonable as partner could barely finish and I was stuffed half way threw, the food is so good I had to ask for a take away bag, it seemed pointless to waste such great food.
Very polite and friendly staff; asked for a jug of wine and got a glass. Realizing his mistake got a jug and the glass for free. :-D

Absolutely fantastic! Food is incredible and staff are warm and efficient. Wine selection is huge and the atmosphere is just amazing, The place has such charater. The table next to us got chatting, they were Italian themselves, they said it was the best Italian food they had had outside of Italy and even beats some places within Italy. Only gripe is the place is quite warm in temperature as its small and gets full with people fast.

We went for Christmas Day lunch.

The food was excellent, service good and the atmosphere great.

Could not find a fault with anything.

Excellent value for a 7 course meal.

The food----absolutely not Italian.I would say it is more like British-style Italian food??? Food quality is modest (my friend and I had the beef linguine and the lasagna). But the decro earns the credit. In general,I find the food and wine are a bit overpriced.

I like Little Italy. It's got a nice vibe to the place - The staff are usually competent and friendly, though rushed off their feet, and the decor is sweet if a little kitzch: the architecture of the building lends itself well to being a romantic Italian grotto. But don't order starters. Order risotto, the risotto is particularly good. Just don't order starters. For the love of ... well, your own gut, don't order starters, because you'll try to finish them, and then you'll try to finish your dinner, and then you'll finish your night too early because you'll be incapable of doing anything but calling a taxi and rolling onto the sofa. Mostly, food is average, with overly generous portions. But the risotto is really surprisingly good. A nice romantic meal if you don't order starters.
