Go on Sunday for the all you can eat buffer for £12.50
The 4 17 calorie sushi you get for £4 usually is hardly filling and for £12.50 you can have plates upon plates of all the different sushi.
It is also great if you are either picky or adventurous as you can try one of each or just find one you like and eat plates of it.
The price includes dessert but not drinks and the given 2 hours is more than enough.

The family came in doubtful and quite honestly not expecting to like Sushi at all and it was a bit of an adventure as the fussy kids don't really like fish but everyone loved it!

Exceptionally poor service - they did not bring one of our drinks and two of our starters on time. We had to ask after both. They didn't come back to us to inform us whether these things had been forgotten or not. In the end, the drink was unavailable and we had to order another about halfway through our meal. The waitress didn't come back to check if we wanted more drinks or to see if we were satisfied with our meal.

The vegetarian options were terrible. Both of the starters myself and my partner ordered were also included in our main meal, which shows the pathetic variety of the food on offer for someone who doesn't eat meat. The salad in the bento box was not even attempting to be Japanese, so don't go here if you value authenticity.

When the two starters eventually came, we had almost finished our meal. They looked the same but one was supposedly vegetarian. My partner wasn't sure whether hers was vegetarian. She spent the following day throwing up. Go figure. We didn't leave a tip.

It's pretty average, to be honest - and the portions are small given the price. Service also very slow and they were incapable of bringing dishes out together so my partner's food got cold while I waited for mine. Wouldn't go back.

Have eaten here many many times, my main interest is always the sushi and maki as it's made fresh to order and is always perfect. I would recommend anyone that has previously tried it in supermarkets or pre-packaged to try it here again, there is really nothing like sushi made fresh on the spot (I would recommend the Tempura Maki and the California Maki to those new to it).

As far as the hot menu goes, there are a few things on the menu that I adore, such as the breaded pork/beef, the curries and the sashimi (raw fish) but I tend to find the rice and noodle dishes a bit plain. Keep in mind though that traditional Japanese is quite plain and Wasabi is very much authentic cuisine unlike a lot of places.

The girls on service are always very polite and obliging despite sometimes having a slight language barrier, but they try their best regardless.

9 out of 10. :-)

I have never beem to this type of resteraunt before so it was all new to me! i went on the 20th of sep '10 food was nice - bit salty some times and boiled rice was very plain - i could have actually done beter myself at home - but all in all it was a nice experience - not the normal run of the mill and i would go again, although the staff were lovely they could have been more apt in explaining the menu to me as i was a novice, these are all miner points mind you and i would go again and would advice anyone to go. happy eating!
