  • "It's a nice place but it's not a patch on what it used to be, lacks atmosphere." - Anon [Feb 2007]
  • "Has now become my 'local' when I'm a student in the town, last week we went there 4 days on the trot, brilliant food, good wine at reasonable prices, exellent staff, never had a unpleasant night there, great place to relax, chat and chill." - Robert Mackinnon [Dec 2006]
  • "Went in there recently: good food, recently converted into a no-smoking bar, friendly staff, nice relaxed atmosphere with decent people in." - Xapns [Oct 2006]
  • "Good for drinks, but food and service need drastic improvements. Have only visited twice for food. First visit was in its early days. Food for five of us arrived at different times after up to an hour's wait, although ordered together! Bar staff saw customers waiting and ignored them. Visited again for food a few weeks later hoping that things had improved. Sadly they hadn't. Waited for around 45 minutes for food - nothing more exotic than a wrap and sandwiches! Waiting staff were rude when we complained. Will now only visit for drinks!" - Dafydd Davies [Oct 2006]
  • "Did anybody write 'this is a sophisticated menu' on the menu? I think not." - Anon [Sep 2006]
  • "I just love sipping their gorgeous Chenin Blanc on a cool evening in the beer garden. It's lovely!" - Julie Johns [Aug 2006]
  • "Absolutely fantastic! Can't say a bad word about the place, it's just what Aber needed, a place with a bit of a difference. Those who dislike change should just try to keep up with the times!" - Olivia Sedgewick [Jul 2006]
  • "Stop slating change! Everything moves on eventually. I think it's lovely in there, nice food very reasonable drinks and lovely staff." - Kate Sedgely [Jun 2006]
  • "Abominable service from the bar staff. And the menu, whilst varied, is not good value for money. A pity given what it could have been." - Alison [May 2006]
  • "They've done a pretty good renovation job, and it seems to be working. Last night, albeit a Friday, they were packed at 8pm. Which of course meant nowehere to sit and therefore no food for us. Which is a shame, as the last time we ate there the mussels were good and the pasta with meatballs was huge but of higher quality than you normally find in an Aber pub. We will go back to eat - when we can find a table." - Dean & Pai [May 2006]
  • "Top banana!" - Ed Horne [May 2006]
  • "I can not believe that it has been turned into a clean and supposed respectable bar. We all know what went on in there!" - Snakebite Betty [Apr 2006]
  • "Nice paint job, shame about the change of focus. You will no longer be famous for the Beechings game. End of an era." - Kate Ibbotson [Mar 2006]
  • "Awful food considering its price and so-called sophisticated menu. It took half an hour for a cold chicken salad!" - Lynda [Mar 2006]
  • "What? What? Where am I to drink triple vodka Red Bulls for 3 quid now? Shame." - Katy Evans [Mar 2006]
