Aber's only large, serious nightclub. Open from about 10pm till at least 2.30am, sometimes 4am. Admission charged always, but some specials and discounts, especially early in the week. Housed upstairs in the pier with a large dancefloor and two bars. Gets very busy!

  • "Charge you 5 quid to get in even when it's dead and charge double compared to most clubs on selected drinks. All in all with the poor music and terrible interior it's not exactly visiting cloud 9!" - Anon [Jan 2007]
  • "This place kicks ass, except for Wednesdays. We love it and the music is really good! The pier is the place to be!" - Rachel and Jen [Oct 2007]
  • "Probably the best nightclub in Aber; others are cheese on toast man. Good memories, good times, it is a sweat pit and a sticky floor bandit but who cares when you're mashed?" - Dazzyboi, Halifax [Sep 2007]
  • "Sound for the comical entertainment and if ya wanna pull ladz who think they are great break dancers and just ain't. Sticky floors and crap music." - K, Shrewsbury [May 2007]
  • "What a joke this place is, full of strange people. Music not good at all and floor was so sticky I was peeling my shoe off it all night, would not recommend to my worst enemy. Would never go again." - Amy, Telford [May 2007]
  • "It's brill for the size of the town it's in and it's about the only place to go that's open till late! Staff are boss for a laugh; I've had quite a few brill nites in there totally wrecked." - Emma Scouse [May 2007]
  • "Pier Pressure is the best club in Aberyswtyth and you get brill nights and great promotions. The staff are friendly and you get a mixture of music to keep you on the dance floor all night. So if you get the chance to go, go because you would want to go again!" - D W Evans [Apr 2007]
  • "I have so many amazing memories of this place! Pier is the best! Check it out on a Monday night, totally crammed full of beautiful students!" - Tomi [Mar 2007]
  • "It's full of undesirable peoples, not to mention the cramped, confined space, and expensive drinks (apart from pound 'party') make Pier the worst possible place to go for a night out." - James and Carl [Dec 2006]
  • "Best place around Aber. May get a bit hot but always got a good atmosphere. Also, most importantly, cheap drinks!" - Jo Marsh, Telford [Oct 2006]
  • "The place you promise you won't end up and find yourself in there anyway. Needs alcohol in your system to be here. Good night, cheap drink offers - but £5 to get in quite often :-( " - Katie [Oct 2006]
  • "Chaps: be sure to take some sturdy climbing boots - these will prevent other people crushing your feet, and the spikes come in handy for getting across the toilet floor, which always seems to resemble an ice-rink." - NW [Apr 2006]
  • "OK if you want to get pulled. Music could be better. Tuesdays and Fridays good, 'cos of pound parties." - Anon [Mar 2006]
  • "Large, sticky room opened to part drunks from their money at the end of the night." - Fat Bob [Jan 2006]
  • "Cheese at its finest? Aber wouldn't be the same without it. The door staff are great, and even though they all look about 30 most are in their early 20's. It's a cattle market with purple and orange decor and cheap drink. But it's fun." - G
  • "Packed night after night with some great tunes - best place to finish off the night." - Matt Kerr, Stoke
  • "We just can't survive without it. Thursday night attracts the 'older crowd' whose dancing is a must see." - Pleb
  • "It's a late drink basically, better than the Glen as is full of kids, but has a mixed crowd at weekends. Always some ass trying to kick off after his/her 4 pint limit but that's Aber for you. Door staff are spot on, some of the best in the business, drinks are variable in standard but what do you expect for 1 a pint/bottle? By the time you're in the place who's gonna notice anyway? Not a bad groover boozer in general." - Horse
