From the top of Constitution Hill runs a well-trafficked path all the way to the coastal resort of Borth. The path runs right along the coast and makes for a very pleasant walk, if you don't mind one or two hills!

1.You'll start the walk, naturally enough, from the bottom of Constitution Hill. To get to the coastal path, you'll need to get to the top of "Consti". It's not a very difficult climb, but you can always take the Cliff Railway to the top if you'd rather.

2.At the summit, you'll come across the Cafe and Camera Obscura. Press on over the brow along the signposted walk.

3.Soon, you're on the well-worn path to Clarach Bay, which hugs the hillside and offers some great views. Already, you can see the county of Gwynedd in the distance.

4.Eventually, a vast collection of caravans lets you know that you're approaching Clarach Bay.

5.The path ducks through a small wood on the descent into Clarach.

6.Emerging from the woods, we enter the resort.

7.This would seem a good sign!

8.Some of these photos were taken out of season - when Clarach was most definitely 'shut'!

9.A footbridge is connects the two halves of Clarach Bay, but road traffic has to take a long detour. The river is, unexcitingly enough, 'Afon Clarach' or 'Clarach River'.

10.Once out of the resort, a glance back towards the South shows the Aberystwyth headland clearly jutting out - with the castle and war memorial clearly visible. What could look like a flaw in the picture on top of the hills behind is actually the TV mast at Blaenplwyf.

11.Probably one of the most pleasant parts of the walk is this stretch with the sea on one side, and farmland on the other.

12.Great rock formations, too.

13.Further on, another look back shows just how precarious some of the path is! Here it has completely collapsed, and walkers are diverted briefly into the neighbouring field.

14.These hills give an indication of what is to follow on the route! Meanwhile, Aberdovey is clearly visible across the Dovey Estuary.

15.An impressive house and a pleasant waterfall mark a rough halfway point.

16.This is where the hard work starts - the path runs over the top of that big hill.

17.And on reaching the top, a look down shows just what a slog it is.

18.Further on, and Borth finally comes into view.

19.The Borth war memorial is a sign that the end of the walk isn't far, but there's still the last of several streams to cross, and that hill to climb.

20.Finally, the full sweep of Borth is visible...

21....and we eventually get back to tarmacked ground on the edge of the resort and a ten minute walk to the centre.
