- "Fantastic place, very welcoming and friendly waitress. Excellent food and service. A great time was enjoyed by all, will definitely be eating here again!" - Daniel Thorpe [Jul 2007]
- "Food was generally of a good standard. However, the starters and vegetables / roast potatoes which had to be paid for separately were ridiculously over-priced for what they were. We were disappointed in the service, staff were rude and were not very welcoming to us as a large party of 10. We felt as though they couldn't get rid of us fast enough. That said, everyone in our party enjoyed their main course." - Lyndsay [Jun 2007]
- "Top marks for the bistro. The restaurant will be missed, but its place has been taken by something equally special. Polite staff and memorable food and service." - Mr. Bradbury [Dec 2006]
- "Waitress could not remember what she had bought at all. Incorrect main course for our guest. And then the long wait... 45 minutes for the pudding. We told the staff after 25 mins and was told 'it will be here in two minutes'. We did not stay to eat the pudding which arrived as we all got up to leave. Recieved a very weak apology. Sorry Harry we don't like the bistro and will not be coming back." - Heather Jones [Oct 2006]
- "Delicious food: the prawn and chilli sauce starter is fab as is the duck main and the cherry and almond tart dessert. Comfy seats, relaxed atmosphere and a charming front of house maitre'd." - Julia [Jul 2006]
- "Rude staff, the pork Wellington was greasy, very disappointing considering the reputation." - Alf [Mar 2006]
- "The best meal I've ever had. Thoroughly enjoyed it: the service was superb and the food a delight to eat." - Emma Chippendale [Sep 2005]
- "Does a fantastic 2 course sunday lunch for 12.50 with plenty of choice if you don't want the roast. Wide selection of veggie and fish. People complain about this place being expensive but here is a hint - go in the afternoon for lunch and you pay less for the same meal. Delicious meals and fast service." - Elinor, Aberystwyth [Apr 2005]
