Bouncer
I would like to express my disguat at a particular bouncer at why not bar in Aberysrystwyth. well, first of all, i was dancing, and took a hat off one guy, who i was going to give it back to. The bouncer took ot back, which i didnt mind, and immediately said in an agressive manner 'get out of my face.' I went to another area of the bar and saw one of my house mates dancing on a platform. At the time i didnt realise that dansing infront of the platform (standing on the plaatform infront of the rails) was an offence. The same bouncer came up to me, quite aggressively and shouted in my face that if i make one more offence then im out. I was shocked, apologised and stepped down from the platform. i walked up the steps, made a hand gesture to one of my close friends who was on the dancefloor. The bouncer immediately came upto me, thinking that the gesture was made to him. As i was waling up the steps, he pulled me down. This obviously made me fall, and i injured my ankle quite badly. The bouncer touched me in a sexual manner and suggested that i made him fall too, and said that no one would believe me that he touched me because i was 'drunk' even though i only had few alcoholic beverages that night and actually wasnt that drunk at all. i am upset and angry at this situation. mainly because i could take this bouncer to court for sexual harasment, and also he actually pulling me down steps, which caused me harm. But they could come back saying that i was drunk. I actually wasnt drunk, only my friends can prove it and no more. there is no hard evidence towards this. I am never going to why not again. thanks.

Total dive. The DJ is awful and the drinks are a complete scam.

table service to alleviate waiting at bar
a lot of venues in britain are having the same problem. you wait for ages with just elbow room at the bar spilling your drinks as yu politely turn round and go to your mates. in germany we have table service which means you order your drinks with a waiter or waitress as you do in a restaurant and you pay them for the drinks when they arrive .saves hassle at the bar.
if i get to run a bar in aber , you will see this in action. means you can sit and enjoy the music / atmosphere withot losing half of your beer n the way to your table

I worked there as a barman ten years ago, when it was still called K2. I had the best time of my life even though some nights tend to get a bit too long due to certain customers. Don't judge the staff until you've been behind the bar. Perspectives change once you get to serve instead of being served

Why Bother
Honestly one of the worst night clubs i have been too! Seedy, too small, understaffed and overall no atmosphere. Better off saving your money or chosing an alternative venue. Don't donate your cash to this joint!

Very small club, dance floor only consists of about 20 square metres of open space. Free entry on week days and £3/4 on a Saturday. Tuesdays are usually packed due to Varsity's pound party, Wednesdays and Fridays are pretty decent though. Popular with students in week due to no entry fee; Saturday tends to yield a slightly older, more local clientele.
Still better than Pier despite its drawbacks, worth a look on a week day.

Needs more staff. You have to wait ages for a drink, epsecially on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays!

Has good DJs, leather sofas, extra-extra cheap vodka and is popular, but never so chock-full that you're dancing with your elbows in the faces of those around you (like the carnage of Pier pound party). Well staffed too, so none of the pain in the a$$ of waiting ages at the bar.

Don't waste your money here it is crap, I would rather stay in on my own than go to this hell hole.

What a fantastic place really great value for money. Thursday night went to Pier: £5 entry, Admiral £5. Why Not Bar: free entry, Admiral £4. Better music and CLEAN.

£6 admission to Pier Saturday night; free in Yoko's (Why Not bar). Cheaper drinks, better atmosphere and it's clean.
