food is beautiful , service is great , clean and tidy , i love this place!

It was my first and last time i visited this "restaurant".My friend said that i will love their puddings so i said i will give it a go.The staff very unfriendly,they even forgot about us outside,i had creme brulee and i found a curly black hair in the middle,i was so disgusted,i couldn`t finish it.The prices are extremely high to ridiculous,2 puddings and 2 coffees- £16 ,thats the price for a meal.Its a never again for me!!!

Just had another meal in Gwesty. Seriously, try the Bang Bang Chicken!

John Jones and James don�t know what they are talking about, this is by far the nicest place I have ever stayed and eaten. The food is beautifully prepared with such delicacy and passion, this is obvious. I have become a regular here because I believe in the place so much. I stayed here on my birthday as a special treat and even got a free glass of champagne. Gwesty Cymru truly is the only place in Aberystwyth which really tries to promote Wales, with all the handmade furniture... and slate floors being local, as well as most of, if not all of the staff being Welsh-speaking! If you are visiting Wales this is the nicest place to stay and eat. I am local to Aberystwyth so you can take my word for it because I have eaten everywhere in this town.

In short, the food and service here left me speechless, it was so bad.
I will never eat here again.

A very overpriced restaurant, so small - I'll never understand how they got the go ahead to open a restaurant in the first place! Menu is so average for a so-called POSH restaurant. Staff were a bit clueless and very eager to get us out as soon as we had finished. Wouldn't go there again.

Have been here twice in the last year with large groups of friends of 8 or 10. Great food on both occasions for everyone and considering the quality of the food, very reasonable bill at the end. Many of the friends live and dine in London and were pleasantly surprised as to what they could get back in Aber!
